Payment terms define how quickly customers are expected to pay after receiving an order — for example, Net 30 (payment due within 30 days) or Net 15 with an early-pay discount. Once created, terms are available to assign to customers and locations. Go to FULFILL™ → Pricing → Terms in the sidebar. The page displays all payment terms in a searchable, sortable grid.

Adding a Payment Term

1

Click Add Terms

Click the Add Terms button in the ribbon.
2

Fill in the form

Enter the term details:
  • Name (required) — a descriptive label, such as “Net 30” or “Net 15 / 2% 10”
  • Net Days (required) — the number of days until full payment is due
  • Discount Days — the number of days within which the early-pay discount applies; must be less than or equal to Net Days
  • Discount % — the percentage discount if paid within the discount window; leave blank or set to 0 if there is no early-pay discount
  • Default — check this to make this term the default selection when adding new customers or orders
3

Save

Click Save. The new term appears in the grid immediately.

Editing a Payment Term

Double-click any row in the grid to open the edit form. You can update the name, net days, discount days, and discount percentage. To change the default term, open the term you want to make default and check Default. The previous default term is automatically unset — only one term can be the default at a time.

Activating or Deactivating

Open a term by double-clicking it, then click Activate or Inactivate to change its status. Inactive terms remain in the grid but are not available for selection when creating or editing customers, locations, or orders.
Inactivating a term does not change it on existing customers or orders — it only prevents it from being selected going forward.

Best Practices

  • Name terms clearly so they communicate the payment expectation at a glance (e.g., “Net 30”, “COD”, “Net 15 / 2% 10”)
  • Set one term as the default to speed up customer setup
  • Use discount days and discount % together — set both or neither
