What is the Produce Module?
The Produce module helps you manage production planning and tracking. It provides tools for:- Defining Production Items: Manage production catalogs (plant varieties), categories, and production items
- Managing Recipes: View and organize plant production recipes with cultivation details
- Tracking Events: Record and track material, task, and space events during production
- Automating Triggers: Configure production triggers that activate based on date calculations
Site selection is optional in the Produce module. Production workflows can be associated with specific sites, but site selection is not required to use the module.

Module Navigation
The Produce module has two main sections:-
Data Management (
/produce/data-management/*)- Items: Production catalogs, categories, and items
- Recipes: Production recipes and workflows
- Events: Material, task, and space events
-
Settings (
/produce/settings/*)- Triggers: Production trigger configuration
Common Workflows

- Catalogs tab: Create plant variety catalogs (genus, series, color)
- Categories tab: Create production categories (code, eaches, space category)
- Production Items tab: Create items linked to catalogs and categories
- Use inline editing to update existing entries
Working with Production Recipes
- Navigate to Data Management → Recipes
- Switch between Grid View (table format) or Card View (detailed view)
- Filter and sort recipes by production attributes

Tracking Production Events
- Navigate to Data Management → Events
- Choose event type tab:
- Materials: Material consumption events
- Tasks: Task and labor events
- Space: Space allocation events
- View and manage events for production tracking
Configuring Production Triggers
- Navigate to Settings → Triggers
- Click Add New to create a trigger

- Offset: Positive number (days)
- Unit: Select from dropdown
- Expire By: Select expiration date
- Click Submit to save
- Toggle status with Make Active/Inactive button (for existing triggers)
Production Event Types
The Events section has three tabs for tracking different aspects of production:Material Events
Track material consumption during production activities. The Materials tab displays material events that can be viewed and managed.Task Events
Track tasks and labor activities during production. The Tasks tab displays task events for production workflow management.Space Events
Track production space allocation and usage. The Space tab displays space events for resource planning. The specific fields and capabilities for each event type depend on your system configuration. See the Production Events page for detailed information.
Production Triggers
Production triggers use date calculations to automate timing: Example Configuration: “Start Production - 8 Weeks Before”- Name: “Start Production - 8 Weeks Before”
- Source: Selected from available options
- Offset: 56 (positive number representing days)
- Unit: Selected from available options
- Expire By: Specific date when trigger should expire
The actual behavior when a trigger activates depends on your system configuration and workflow setup. Consult with your administrator for specific trigger capabilities.
User Roles
The Produce module is typically used by:- Production Managers: Planning production workflows and recipes
- Production Staff: Tracking events and task completion
- Inventory Coordinators: Managing material usage
- Operations: Configuring triggers and automation
Integration Possibilities
The Produce module is designed to work alongside other modules in the WorkSuite system:- Material Module: Can potentially source materials tracked in production events
- Fulfill Module: Production items may relate to fulfillment inventory
- Availability Module: Production output may feed into availability tracking
The specific integrations available depend on your system configuration. Consult with your administrator about module integration capabilities.
