Overview
The Locations page provides comprehensive management of delivery and inventory locations within the Restock module. Configure location details, add notes for operational context, and set location-specific replenishment rules that affect how items are ordered for each location.Accessing Locations
Navigate to Restock > Data Management > Locations to access the locations management interface.View Options
The Locations page offers two view modes to match your workflow:Card View
The card view provides a detailed, tabbed interface with a searchable sidebar for easy navigation between locations. Best for:- Reviewing comprehensive location details
- Managing location notes and documentation
- Configuring location-specific rules
- Exploring individual location configurations
Grid View
The grid view displays locations in a sortable, filterable table format. Best for:- Comparing multiple locations at once
- Quick scanning of location status and details
- Bulk data review and analysis
- Exporting location data
Card View Features
Sidebar Navigation
The left sidebar provides quick access to all locations:- Search bar - Filter locations by name, code, address, or region
- Location list - Scrollable list of all configured locations
- Selection highlight - Currently selected location is visually highlighted
- Use ↑/↓ arrow keys to navigate through locations
- Press Tab to move focus between sidebar and detail sections
- Type to search and filter the location list
Detail Header
The header displays key location information and available actions:- Location name - Editable title for the location
- Status indicator - Visual badge showing active/inactive status
- Edit button - Opens location edit form
- Delete button - Removes location (with confirmation dialog)
Tabs
The card view organizes location information into three focused tabs:Details Tab

- Historical context - Changes, renovations, seasonal patterns
- Formatting support - Use markdown for better organization
- “Loading dock closes at 4 PM - schedule morning deliveries”

Rules Tab
Set location-specific replenishment rules that override item and system defaults:- Location-level minimum orders - Required minimum order value or quantity
- Maximum order constraints - Cap on order size due to storage or receiving capacity
- Delivery frequency rules - Weekly, bi-weekly, or custom schedules
- Seasonal adjustments - Increased/decreased ordering during specific periods
- Lead time overrides - Custom lead times for this location
- Container constraints - Maximum carts or pallets per delivery
The rule hierarchy is: Location-level rules → Item-level rules → System defaults. Location rules have the highest priority and will override other settings.
Grid View Features
Column Customization
The grid view supports full customization:- Show/hide columns - Right-click column headers to toggle visibility
- Reorder columns - Drag column headers to rearrange
- Resize columns - Drag column borders to adjust width
- Sort data - Click column headers for ascending/descending sort
- Filter data - Use column filters to narrow results

- Click “Save Layout” in the ribbon

- Reload anytime with “Load Layout”

Updating Location Details

Location configurations directly impact load list generation:- Delivery schedules → Determine which locations appear on specific load lists
- Location rules → Control order quantities and constraints
- Status → Filter active vs. inactive locations
- Notes → Provide context for delivery drivers and warehouse staff
Troubleshooting
Location Not Appearing in Load Lists
Check:- Status - Ensure location is marked as Active
- Delivery schedule - Verify schedule includes the target delivery date
- Rules - Check if minimum order rules are preventing inclusion
- Item assignments - Confirm items are available for this location
Can’t Edit Location
Possible causes:- Location is locked by another user currently editing
- Insufficient user permissions for location management
- Location is referenced in active or locked load lists
- Check with team members to see if they’re editing the location
- Verify your user role has location management permissions
- Wait for active load lists to be completed or unlocked
Notes Not Saving
Troubleshooting steps:- Check for unsaved changes indicator
