What is ENGAGE?

ENGAGE is a mobile app for counting inventory at retail store locations. Merchandisers and store associates pick a store, count what’s on hand by scanning barcodes or entering quantities, and post the counts back to WorkSuite.
ENGAGE is a mobile-first app. Open it from the WorkSuite app launcher on a phone or tablet.

Key Features

Quick Scan Mode

Toggle Quick Scan Mode to count by scanning — each barcode scan adds 1 unit. Turn it off to search items by name, UPC, or SKU and enter quantities manually.

Flexible Barcode Matching

Scans match items by exact UPC, UPC without the check digit, or SKU (case-insensitive). Unrecognized barcodes show a clear “No item found” message.

Per-Location Counting

Counts are kept per location. You can switch stores mid-day and your unposted counts for each location are preserved until you post them.

Offline Support

Counts posted without a connection are queued on the device and post automatically when the connection returns. The History tab tracks queued, posted, and failed submissions.

Workflow Overview

  1. Select a location: Search by store name, customer, or address
  2. Count: Scan barcodes (Quick Scan) or search items and enter quantities
  3. Review: Adjust quantities with +/− steppers, swipe to remove mistakes
  4. Post: Confirm and post the counts for the location
  5. History: Review posted and queued counts on the History tab
After counts are posted, uncounted items at the location zero out after the review period — so count everything on hand before posting.
