Selecting a Location

When you open ENGAGE, pick the store you’re counting. Use the search bar (“Search customers or locations…”) to filter by location name, customer, or address, then tap the location card. The header shows your selected location and when it was last counted. Tap Change to switch locations — unposted counts are kept per location, so nothing is lost.

Counting Items

Quick Scan Mode

With Quick Scan Mode on, every scan adds 1 unit:
  • Text input — the field is ready for a hardware barcode scanner; barcodes auto-submit as they’re read
  • Camera — tap Scan Barcode to scan with the device camera; turn on Continuous to keep scanning without reopening the camera
Scans match by exact UPC, UPC without the check digit, or SKU. A successful scan shows “item name +1”; an unknown barcode shows “No item found for barcode”.

Manual Mode

With Quick Scan off, search the Item (name, UPC, SKU) field, enter the quantity in Qty, and tap + to add it.

Managing Counted Items

The Counted Items list shows everything counted so far for the location:
  • Use the + / − buttons on each row to adjust quantities (press and hold to change quickly)
  • Swipe left on a row to delete it
  • Sort by Recent, A–Z, or Z–A
  • Clear All Counts removes every unposted count for the location (with confirmation — this can’t be undone)

Posting Counts

Tap Post in the bottom navigation (it shows a badge with the number of items ready). A confirmation dialog summarizes the item count, total quantity, and location before posting.
  • Counts Posted — saved to the server. Uncounted items will zero out after the review period.
  • Counts Queued — you were offline; the counts will post automatically when the connection returns (see History & Offline)
From the success screen, tap Start New Count to pick the next location.
