Shrink Entry is a mobile page for recording production losses — disease, quality issues, weather damage — directly against the production job where they happened, so your expected vs. actual yield stays honest.
Shrink Entry is part of the PRODUCE™ module and is available when PRODUCE is enabled for your account.

Recording a Shrink Event

1

Select the job

Use Select job (recipe, lot) to find the production job. Jobs are listed by job number, plant description, and production plan, and only active lots are shown.
2

Fill in the event

  • Shrink Type (required): Disease, Overproduction, Quality Issue, Environmental, or Other
  • Quantity Lost (required): whole units — a built-in calculator is available for quick math
  • Date (required): defaults to today
  • Notes: optional, except when the type is Other — then notes are required
3

Save

Click Save Shrink Event. If you’re offline it becomes Queue Shrink Event — the entry is saved on the device and syncs automatically when you’re back online.

Yield Summary

With a job selected, the page shows the job’s running scoreboard:
  • Expected — the job’s planned output
  • Actual — the actual yield to date
  • Variance — actual minus expected, shown in red when negative

History

Below the form, every recorded shrink event for the job is listed newest-first with its type, quantity, date, and notes. Use the delete button on an entry to remove it — useful for correcting a mis-keyed quantity. Entries recorded offline show a Queued badge until they sync.
Record shrink as it happens rather than reconstructing it at week’s end — the variance numbers only help planning if they’re current.
